1. Who we are

MaxUsAutos (hereinafter — "we") is a vehicle sourcing and delivery service for importing cars from US auctions to Ukraine. For personal data enquiries, contact us at: [email protected].

2. What data we collect

Data you submit through forms on the site: your name, phone number, email address (optional), and the text of your enquiry (desired vehicle, budget).

Technical data required for spam protection and correct operation of the site: IP address (for rate limiting), traffic source parameters (UTM tags), selected time zone (cookie).

Site page-view counter: when a page of the site has been shown successfully, your browser sends us only the page type (home, catalogue, lot page, calculator, information page) and the language. We store only daily totals by type and language — no cookies, no page address and no visitor identifier, so no individual visitor can be seen in this data. The IP address of the request stays only in the server's memory for up to a minute, for rate limiting, and is not written to the statistics. If you chose "Essential only" in the cookie notice, your browser does not send new page views; totals already recorded cannot be withdrawn, as they contain nothing that points to you.

3. How we use it

The sole purpose of collecting contact data is to respond to your enquiry: to help select a vehicle, send a cost estimate, or answer your questions.

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes. We do not send marketing communications without your consent.

4. Where data is stored

Enquiry form submissions are delivered to our managers via secure services: Telegram (manager notification) and email (Resend). The contents of a submission are also stored in the site database, so an enquiry is not lost if those services are unavailable. Only administrators can access it; this data is never shown on public pages.

Forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile (bot detection) and a rate-limiting service (Upstash). These services receive only the technical information required for verification.

5. Retention

Contact data is retained in the managers' working channels until the communication regarding your enquiry is concluded, after which it may be deleted upon your request.

6. Your rights

You may at any time request access to your data, its correction, or its deletion — write to us at [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.

Consent to data processing may be withdrawn at any time by the same means.

7. Cookies

The site uses a minimal number of cookies: functional (selected time zone, site language, your choice in the cookie notice) and the traffic-source cookie "max_attr". For 30 days "max_attr" keeps the UTM tags, the address of the site you came from and the first page you opened on our site; this data is sent together with an enquiry so the manager knows where it came from. Choosing "Essential only" does not turn off the "max_attr" cookie. Visit statistics work without cookies (see section 2). We do not use tracking cookies that follow you across other websites.

8. Chrome extension

The MaxUsAutos extension for the Chrome browser works only on Copart and IAAI pages — lot pages and search results pages. From them it takes only lot numbers (on IAAI also the Stock# and the lot link) and the page address. It does not read the content of other websites, data you type, passwords, or your browsing history.

When you open a lot, the following is sent to our server: the lot number, the auction name, the lot page address, the extension version, your IP address and browser type. If you calculate the turnkey cost, the price, port and shipping method you chose are sent as well. On a search results page, a connected extension sends the lot numbers of that page to show the seller reserve next to each lot. This is needed to show the lot data, to protect the service from abuse (rate limiting) and to investigate errors. Server technical logs are kept for a limited time.

If you connect the extension to your MaxUsAutos account, a sign-in key is stored in the browser together with a signing key for that browser, in the extension's storage; the signing key cannot be exported from the browser, and neither key is synced between browsers. The sign-in key is valid for 90 days, after which the extension asks you to sign in again. On our server the sign-in key is stored only as a hash, and for each connected browser we keep its public signing key, the browser and system name (for example, “Chrome · macOS”), the extension version and the dates it was connected and last used; this is how we limit the number of browsers per account and show them to you in your account. The record of a disconnected or expired browser is deleted after 30 days. Lots viewed through the extension are added to the viewing history in your account (up to the last 200) and to the account activity log, to operate and improve the MaxUsAutos service. To limit the number of seller reserves per account per day and to protect the service from automated collection, our server records for which lots and when a reserve was shown to you, plus daily request counters; these records are kept for 30 days. The browser also stores your chosen language, whether the widget is collapsed, and a short-lived cache of responses (from a few minutes up to an hour, cleared when the browser closes).

We do not sell this data, do not use it for advertising and do not share it with third parties. The “Disconnect” button in the extension window revokes this browser's key on our server; in your account settings you can disconnect any connected browser, or all of them at once. You can clear your viewing history in your account. Removing the extension erases its data from the browser. To have your data fully deleted from our server, write to [email protected].
