Ask an expert ↑What does the damage type «Side» mean
Side damage occurs in T-bone collisions, impacts with parking barriers, or sideswipes. Structurally, the side of a vehicle is critical for occupant protection, so damage here deserves careful inspection.
What may be damaged
- doors, rocker panels, body pillars
- side airbags (may have deployed and been quietly replaced)
- window regulator mechanisms
- wiring routed through sills and pillars
What to keep in mind
- cabin sealing issues and water ingress
- difficulty opening or closing doors properly
- hidden weakening of structural body members
Our advice: Pay close attention to the condition of side airbags and look for any signs of welding on the body pillars.

About this model
2000 Honda Accord
Strengths
Weaknesses
