Ask an expert ↑Side damage occurs in T-bone collisions, impacts with parking barriers, or sideswipes. Structurally, the side of a vehicle is critical for occupant protection, so damage here deserves careful inspection.
Our advice: Pay close attention to the condition of side airbags and look for any signs of welding on the body pillars.

If the number is within the affected range, the EPS ECU will be replaced, free of charge. The recall began on May 7, 2015. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331.
